After going 2-0 down in the first half, Lucas Moura stepped up and scored an unbelievable hattrick to book Tottenham into the Champions League final, against Liverpool, for the first time in their history.

After experiencing one of the greatest European comebacks of all-time last night, Tottenham were looking for a miracle of their own in their semi-final second leg tie against a young promising Ajax side. The game could not have started any worse for Tottenham when De Ligt headed home after 4 minutes to give Ajax a 2-goal lead on aggregate. It then went from bad to worse as Ajax found a second goal on the night meaning Spurs would have to score 3 goals to win the tie. But after an inspirational talk from Pochettino and injured Kane at half time, Tottenham came out in the second half fighting for their place in the final. Lucas Moura slotted home on 56 minutes and only 2 minutes later got his second to give Tottenham a huge chance. With only seconds remaining on the clock, Spurs sent up one last long ball to Llorente who found Dele who fed Moura to dramatically slot home the winner with the last kick of the game. Tottenham will join Liverpool in the Champions League final meaning it will be an all English tie in the final for the first time in 10 years.

More to follow…

Tottenham manager was tearful at the end of the game and when coming around he spoke to the press about how proud he was of his players. "I said before my players were heroes - now they are superheroes. The most important thing I want to say is congratulations to them - they own the football. They delivered the job…To go to the final is close to a miracle. Nobody believed in us in the beginning of the season. But we fully deserve to win tonight and be there."

What’s next?

Spurs finish their Premier League season with a home game against Everton on Sunday, needing only to avoid a heavy defeat to finish in the top four. Ajax will be aiming to secure the Eredivisie title with wins against Utrecht and De Graafschap in their final two games. The Liverpool v Tottenham Champions League final will be played on the 2nd of June, with kick off at 8pm.
