Reminiscent of Istanbul 2005, Liverpool, who were 3-0 down from the first leg, scored 4 to complete a historic comeback against Barcelona at Anfield.
Having been schooled by some Messi magic at the Camp Nou last week, it was never going to be an easy task for Liverpool to over turn a 3-0 deficit against Barcelona. But at Anfield you can never rule out anything and this was proven when Liverpool did the unthinkable and put 4 past a poor Barcelona side. To make the historic comeback even greater, Liverpool were lacking key stars Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino in the match day squad. The deputents stepped up amazingly and proved pivotal as Divock Origi and Georginio Wijnaldum both scored 2 to send Liverpool to the Champions League final for the second consecutive year.

Barcelona boss, Ernesto Valverde admitted how his team was blown away by a fantastic Liverpool side. "They have been really strong, they played really well and they kind of us rolled us over, really. It is a terrible result for our fans and for ourselves, but credit is due to Liverpool.”
