According to CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), suicide is the leading cause of death in men aged 20-49 in England and Wales. These figures are continuing to rise every year at a concerning rate.

Time To Talk Day is a very important day in tackling mental health issues as it encourages people to speak out across the world. A simple conversation can make a huge difference and it can even save a life.

It is important that on this day everyone has the opportunity to open up and for others to show their support to anyone they know that are suffering.

The more people share, the more aware people will be about mental health issues and the better the chance that a life will be saved.

To help show their support, University of South Wales’ Sports Journalism course have produced a variety of content revolving around Time To Talk Day. The content made is being shared across all social media and it is done in the hope that everyone can watch and listen as well as benefit from it.
